1968 Piper Cherokee 140 – Upgraded to 180 HP Performance

This beautifully upgraded Piper Cherokee Cruiser has been meticulously modernized with numerous performance, avionics, and comfort improvements throughout the aircraft. Powered by a Lycoming O-360 engine, this Cherokee delivers significantly improved climb and cruise performance compared to the original 140 HP configuration.

The aircraft has 2,400 hours total time with only 500 hours since major overhaul on the engine. A rebuilt Hartzell constant-speed propeller with 392 hours further enhances performance and efficiency.

The cockpit features upgraded avionics including a Garmin G5 electronic attitude indicator, Garmin GX55 GPS, Garmin ADS-B Out transponder, dual Narco radios with glideslope, and a Century I wing-leveling autopilot. Additional instrumentation includes JPI FS450 fuel monitor, electronic tachometer, manifold pressure gauge, and engine monitoring instruments.

Performance and reliability upgrades include a Sky-Tec high torque starter, SureFly electronic magneto, K&N reusable performance air filter, overhauled Bendix magneto, rebuilt alternator, and a PowerFlow tuned exhaust system installed in December 2022.

Exterior enhancements include extended wing tips with LED landing lights, LED taxi and navigation lights, speed fairings, wing seals, and a tinted UV one-piece windshield installed in 2020. The aircraft also features a beautiful custom paint scheme completed in 2020.

The cabin offers a premium imported leather interior with wool carpets, providing excellent comfort for pilot and passengers.
